2003 ACTION PLAN
YUKON RIVER CHAPTER
ALASKA SOCIETY OF AMERICAN FORESTERS

  1. Maintain and enhance a forestry Speaker's Bureau.
  2. Maintain and staff the SAF/DOF booth at the Tanana Valley State Fair.
  3. Continue to participate in Arbor Day Programs.
  4. Continue to support Outdoor Days and Environthon Programs.
  5. Maintain and enhance the SAF Chapter web site.
  6. Development of Heritage Forest. Continue support of the demonstration forest.
  7. SAF Chapter meetings: Hold 8 meetings with 4 of those meetings containing presentations.
  8. Increase Yukon River chapter members attendance at State SAF meetings.
  9. Increase SAF membership, both student and professional. Continue support.
  10. Continue support of CFE short courses.
  11. Support Twin Bears Youth/Science Camp.
  12. Provide Savings Bond Award ($ 50.) for the FNSB's District Science Fair.
  13. Continue support for Habitat for Humanity.
  14. Participate in joint SAF, TWS, and AFS session of the AFS annual statewide meeting, 11/2003.
